LBJ Elementary School's mission is to provide a safe, engaging, learning environment where students can achieve academic excellence and social skills while becoming life long learners in the 21st century.

Our vision is to prepare and motivate our students for a rapidly changing world by instilling foundations of learning, meaningful lessons, integration of technology, communication, support and a partnership with parents and community so that students will have success for today and be prepared for tomorrow.

Our

Special Education

This team of instructors is dedicated to celebrating students' triumphs and helping them overcome challenges. The special education department is comprised of a number of smaller units: 504/dyslexia, life skills, speech therapy, inclusion teaching, and more. Each instructor brings their unique educational style to the department and shares a long-term vision of what every student can achieve. They see the educational experience as a journey in which they are guides for the students they serve, helping them appreciate the benefits and excitement that come from being a lifelong learner.
